Lifesavers honoured
20/08/2008 | On Sunday at the Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club a state conference was held and a surprise was bestowed upon three of its most loyal and hard working members. Colin Sibly, Troy Irvin and Chris Smoker were awarded National Medals for their service to the lifesaving club.

20/08/2008 | Four shooters from the Goolwa Pistol Club were competitors at the World Muzzleloading Championships held at Monarto from August 11 to 15. Michael Sutton, Di and John Humberstone and Scott Chapman were four of 200 shooters from around the world who converged on the Monarto Rifle Range.

This was proved last weekend when Ty finished third in the 85cc class of the Australian National Junior Dirt Bike Championships.
